Privacy Policy
CheckItWorks's tools are designed to run entirely inside your browser. This page explains, plainly, what that means for your data.
How the tools work
Every test on this site — including the dead pixel test — runs entirely on your own device, using standard browser APIs. When a tool needs camera or microphone access, that stream is processed locally and is never uploaded, transmitted, or recorded to any server.
Data we collect
We don't require an account, and the tools themselves don't send your test results anywhere. Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for every site visit (such as IP address, browser type, and request timestamps) for security and operational purposes, in line with normal web hosting practice.
Cookies and advertising
This site is supported by display advertising. Ad partners such as Google may use cookies or similar technologies to show relevant ads and measure their performance. You can review or opt out of personalized advertising through Google's Ads Settings, or through your browser's cookie and tracking controls.
Analytics
If we add analytics in the future, we'll favor privacy-respecting, aggregate measurement and update this page to describe exactly what's collected.
Your rights
Because the tools don't collect or store personal data from your tests, there's generally nothing tool-related to access, correct, or delete. For questions about advertising cookies or hosting logs, contact us using the details below.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page if what we collect or how we monetize the site changes — for example, when display advertising or analytics is switched on.
